Plant Description

Origin: Cultivar. Europe, North Africa, West and Central Asia: steppes, forest edges.
Special Features: A reliable purple-flowering, easy-to-grow seed strain with paper-like flowers. As many verbascums are quite tall, 'Violetta' - shorter in statue - is ideally suited for smaller gardens. Vertical flowering spikes. This will freely self-sow around the garden, in a manner like foxgloves. Reblooming after dead heading.

Sowing Direction:

(15) Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C [68°F]. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
