Plant Description

Life Cycle: Perennial
Family: Violaceae
Origin: Cultivar. Pyrenees; also infrequently in West Central and South Europe.
Distinction: Award of Garden Merit (A.G.M.) from the Royal Horticultural Society.
Special Features: Not another hybrid of the Horned Violet but a chance seedling of the wild blue forms. Longer bloom time. Cut foliage back regularly and it will regenerate quickly and prove more reliably perennial.
Historical: Introduced by JELITTO PERENNIAL SEEDS in 1998.

(15) Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C [68°F]. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
