Special Features: DIANTHUS haematocalyx is a rare carnation from the eastern Mediterranean. The species name refers to a blood-red to blue-purple flower color. Usually the color tends to be a intense pink. But very unusual is the yellow underside of the flowers. A rare rock garden plant.
