Origin: Norway: mountains. Poland, Alps: mountain meadows, screes, open woodlands.
Special Features: CAMPANULA barbata, bearded bellflower, named after the unusual petal lobes. 2-3cm long, porzelan- to milky-blue flowers have a fringe of long hairy extensions on the edge of the petals. Earlier dead-heading and self sowing encourage the remaining in the garden.
