Origin: Central-, South-Europe to Caucasus: dry grassland, woodland margins.
Special Features: Similar to Ajuga reptans, but without above-ground runners and stem is densely hairy on all sides. Attractive for butterflies and other pollinators. Deer and rabbit resistant. Suitable for natural landscaping. Use for low maintenance plantings.
