Special Features: Consistent dark-leaved foliage. A truly reliable seed strain. Outstanding foliage plant, suitable also for floral arrangements. Perennial Plant of the Year 1991 in North America. Cool, evenly moist soils preferred though any well-drained soil will suffice.
Historical: The result of breeding work undertaken by JELITTO PERENNIAL SEED to improve the already popular 'Palace Purple', which had become plagued with very inconsistent seed strains. Introduced by JELITTO PERENNIAL SEEDS in 1996.
